Every day at Nido Scuola Totem is a web of relationships, discoveries, and languages. Time is never just a sequence of actions, but a mix of meaningful experiences, where every child can recognize themselves, take part, and make sense together with others.

OUR DAY

7:00 / 9:00 — Welcoming families and children

(possibility of early entry at 6:45 on request)
The morning is the time for gathering: a slow space, made of looks, words, and small gestures that connect home and school.
The educators welcome children and parents with care and attention, creating a bridge between family experiences and the educational day that is about to begin.

9:00 / 9:30 — Morning meeting

It’s the moment when the group comes together, where words, gestures, and memories become a shared story. Here, the threads of experiences from previous days are woven, hypotheses are built, questions are asked, and new possibilities are imagined.
A small snack of seasonal fruit or vegetables accompanies this time together.

9.30 / 11.30 — Proposte, ricerche e gioco

Every morning, in the nursery and school groups, the children come across materials, spaces, and adults who guide them in their discoveries. Play, the atelier, research, and experiences in different forms of expression — verbal, physical, graphic, and sound — are intertwined in daily life. The presence of the atelierist encourages an exploratory perspective and an aesthetic dimension of knowledge.

10:45 / 12:45 — Care and lunch

Moments of personal care and hygiene are seen as educational times, where independence and attention to individual needs come together.
Lunch, carefully prepared by CIR Food, becomes a time for connection and enjoying each other’s company.
The children help set the tables, turning this everyday task into an exercise in logical thinking, beauty, and surprise.

12:30 / 1:30 PM — First outing (part-time)

It’s the moment when some children say goodbye to the group, accompanied by the story of the experiences they’ve had.

12:30 / 3:00 PM — Afternoon nap

After personal care, the room becomes quiet and soft.
A soft light, some music, a voice that tells a story: rest is a time for recharging, where every child finds their own pace, surrounded by an atmosphere of calm and safety.

3:00 PM / 3:30 PM — Snack and play

After waking up, snack time opens up a new period of relationships and play, between light discoveries and spontaneous conversations.

3:30 PM / 4:00 PM — Leaving (full time)

It’s a time for meeting and sharing with families.
The educators share with the parents the story of the day and the educational documentation which, displayed at the entrance, shows fragments of the children’s life, exploration, and thinking.

4:00 PM / 7:00 PM — Extended hours

In the afternoon, a slower-paced time begins, where small groups of children have experiences of continuity and free exploration.
A precious time, which preserves the quality of relationships and the care of languages, in continuity with the morning.
